                        Alliteration

Alliteration is a literary device that repeats a speech sound in a sequence of words that are close to each other. 

Alliteration uses consonant sounds at the beginning of a word to give stress to its syllable. 


This technique plays a crucial role in poetry by lending a strong rhythm and musical structure to any verse.

  2. Very often, we associate alliteration with poetry but it is very much present in any type of wrtings.
    For me, alliteration is a rhetoric device that generates a certain rhythm in the writing. The alliterative words also inject the mood and creates the tone (harsh sounds or soft ones, musical ones, etc) delineating emotion into the text. Therefore, proper analysis of alliteration of a text can definitely help spotlighting the subject contained and/or highlighting the major themes.
